Living in an AI World

We hear that AI can do a lot. It can automate processes, it can become a companion, an advisor, a husband/wife, a dinner date, you name it. There is hype over there, and we know it will pass. However, AI is here to stay. We don’t know what format it will take, but one thing is certain: it won’t go anywhere.

The Internet Parallel

I saw this pattern when the internet started. The parallels are very similar. At its very beginning, everyone thought the Internet wouldn’t go anywhere. Connecting the world through a noisy device and connecting with the news and other people through a landline was a dream that many were afraid of. It was the end of the world for some.

One decade later, the internet, which was once a revolution, became the norm. Many people met each other through ICQ (the first online chat app), and then Skype came to disrupt international calls, and so many other businesses started to evolve and disrupt this technology.

Now AI. This concept started in the late 50s, and only with generative AI could it disrupt processes, relationships, and now advising in any aspect of our lives.

Meet Paul

I named my ChatGPT Paul. When his voice is activated, his accent is British. I use Paul for business ideas, research on the cost of services, and marketing content. Nothing special. However, without Paul, everything I create would take around two to three weeks, and in a fraction of a second, I have what I need, and the only step I need to take is to decide where to go next because Paul can’t do this for me, just yet.

Security and Ethics

While many people fear this technology, others are using it to their advantage. There is so much knowledge that ChatGPT can consolidate and provide answers in seconds. Is this scary technology, as Elon Musk claims it to be?  Anything can be dangerous when used against our principles, ethics, and morals. It always has been this way.

If you go on Elon Musk’s bandwagon and avoid AI technology altogether, you will be the one missing out on the benefits it can bring to your life. The key is making sure not to share sensitive information about yourself, your birth date, your bank account, your social security, etc.

As this technology matures, we might end up with another version of the Internet where new businesses are built and thrive, making our lives better and more productive.

AI for Business Operations

AI is a technology that can revolutionize businesses when implemented correctly. Yet why do so many small business owners hesitate to implement AI solutions? Several reasons are commonly discussed: Knowledge: Business owners may not fully understand how AI works or what measurable outcomes they can expect after implementation. Cost: There is uncertainty about how many tools or applications are required to automate tasks effectively. Measurement: Many business owners are unsure how to measure return on investment (ROI) after implementation and assume AI is an overhead expense rather than a strategic investment. In this article, these assumptions are addressed by clarifying the knowledge required, outlining cost considerations, and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure value. It also explores practical areas where AI can automate business operations and repetitive tasks. Knowledge Necessary to Implement AI There ...

Steps to Set Up an AI Receptionist That Actually Works

Before implementing an AI receptionist, it’s important to go beyond the technology and focus on strategy. The goal is not just to answer calls, but to reflect your brand, capture opportunities, and create a seamless customer experience. Here are the key steps to do it right: 1. Define the Workflow Start by mapping out exactly how your AI receptionist should behave. Think through the full call journey: How should it greet callers? What questions should it ask? When should it book appointments? How should it handle rescheduling or cancellations? When should it transfer to a human (e.g., frustration, urgency, complex issues)? This step is critical. A well-defined workflow ensures your AI doesn’t just respond, it acts with intention. 2. Choose the Right AI Receptionist Solution Once your workflow is clear, selecting the right tool becomes much easier. Not all AI solutions are built the same. Some are better for: High call volume Appointment-based businesse...
